TERMS OF SERVICE
Big Farmer LLC · The 143 Bible
Effective Date: May 17, 2026
Preamble
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of The 143 Bible — a website, web application, and digital anthology publishing the canonical and non-canonical biblical corpus across 7 eras. The 143 Bible is operated by Big Farmer LLC, an Indiana limited liability company (“we,” “us,” “Big Farmer,” or “The 143 Bible”).
By creating an account, subscribing, downloading a PDF, or otherwise using The 143 Bible, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
1. Who Can Use The 143 Bible
You must be at least 13 years old to use The 143 Bible. If you’re under the age your country considers an adult (often 18), you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
If you’re using The 143 Bible on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Any activity under your account is treated as yours. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at the1forty3@gmail.com.
2. What The 143 Bible Provides
The 143 Bible offers three things:
The Free Chapter. A free PDF excerpt of the anthology, delivered after you provide an email address.
The Anthology. A complete PDF anthology of the 143 canon — 180 books across 7 eras — available as a one-time purchase.
The Archive. A web application providing the full canon, era maps, reading plans, daily content, games, and a subscriber community. Access requires an active subscription.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We try not to break things, but we don’t promise the service will always look or work the same.
3. Pricing and Payment
Free tier. Anyone can create an account and access free content without paying.
Subscriptions.
- $11.11 per month
- $111.11 per year
Subscriptions unlock the full Archive — webapp, community participation, and all subscriber-only features.
One-time purchases. Individual PDFs (such as the anthology) are sold at the price listed at the time of purchase.
All payments are processed by Stripe. We don’t store your full payment card information. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service.
Prices are in US dollars and don’t include taxes. Where required, taxes will be added at checkout.
4. Auto-Renewal and Cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) at the then-current price, until you cancel.
You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period — you keep access until then.
If we change subscription pricing, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before the new price applies to your account. You can cancel before the change takes effect if you don’t agree.
5. Refunds
PDF purchases are final.Once payment has been completed and the download has been delivered, refunds are not available. This is standard for digital downloads — once you have the file, we can’t take it back.
Subscription refunds. We don’t offer prorated refunds for unused time on a current billing period. If you cancel, you retain access through the end of the period you paid for, and we don’t bill you again.
Exceptions. We may issue refunds at our discretion for clear billing errors, duplicate charges, or service failures that prevented you from accessing what you paid for. To request review, email the1forty3@gmail.com within 14 days of the charge.
6. Intellectual Property
Our content. The 143 Bible’s compilation, structure, commentary, era maps, research, design, and all original written and visual material are owned by Big Farmer LLC. The biblical and non-canonical texts themselves are in the public domain, but our presentation of them, our scholarship around them, and our software are not.

9. Religious and Scholarly Content
The 143 Bible publishes religious texts, scholarly commentary, and historical context. We surface what the manuscripts say and what scholars have argued about them. We don’t tell you what to believe.
The 143 Bible is not affiliated with any church, denomination, religious authority, or theological school. Our inclusion of a text — canonical or non-canonical — is not an endorsement of its theology, historical reliability, or spiritual authority. We include texts because they survived, because they shaped the broader tradition, or because they help illuminate the corpus.
Where scholars disagree, we surface the disagreement. We don’t resolve it for you.
For spiritual guidance, theological interpretation, or matters of personal faith, consult the leaders of your own tradition.
10. Third-Party Services
The 143 Bible uses third-party services to operate:
- Stripe for payments — https://stripe.com/legal
- Supabase for account storage and authentication
- Beehiiv for newsletter delivery (when you subscribe to our email list)
- YouTube when you watch our videos through embedded players
These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We’re not responsible for how they handle your data once it’s transmitted to them, beyond our reasonable choice of vendors.
11. Disclaimers
The 143 Bible is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — about the service, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.
We don’t warrant that:
- The service will always be available
- Content will be free of errors
- Translations or transliterations match any specific manuscript tradition perfectly
- Scholarly citations are exhaustive or current with the latest publication
We try hard on all of these. We don’t guarantee any of them.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Big Farmer LLC, its members, employees, and contractors will not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages
- Lost profits, lost data, or business interruption
- Damages arising from your reliance on content published by The 143 Bible
- Damages caused by third-party services we use
Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Big Farmer LLC in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) $100.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations. Where that’s the case, the limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Big Farmer LLC and its members, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or third-party right
- Content you post in the community
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or for any reason we judge necessary to protect the service or other users.
You may close your account at any time from your account settings, or by emailing the1forty3@gmail.com.
On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately. Sections that should reasonably survive — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law — continue to apply.
We don’t owe you a refund if your account is terminated for violating these Terms.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Effective Date” at the top and notify subscribers by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Continued use of the service after the effective date of updated Terms means you accept them. If you don’t accept them, cancel your subscription before they take effect.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Marion County, Indiana, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain in effect.
17. Contact

18. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of The 143 Bible will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, not in court, except as set out below.
How arbitration works. Arbitration is conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, available at https://www.adr.org. The arbitration will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, or by video conference at your option. The arbitrator’s decision is final and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class action waiver. You agree that any arbitration or claim will be brought only in your individual capacity — not as a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator has no authority to combine claims or preside over any class or representative action.
Exceptions. This arbitration requirement does not apply to:
- Claims that qualify for small claims court (currently capped at $10,000 in Indiana)
- Claims related to intellectual property infringement (we may bring those in court)
- Claims for injunctive or equitable relief
Opt-out right. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing the1forty3@gmail.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. The email must include your name, account email, and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in court under Section 16 (Governing Law).
Severability. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable in any case, the entire arbitration section is void for that case, and the dispute proceeds in court — but the rest of these Terms remain in effect.
19. Copyright and DMCA Takedown
We respect copyright and respond to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Filing a takedown notice. If you believe content on The 143 Bible infringes your copyright, send a written notice to the1forty3@gmail.com that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- Identification of the material on The 143 Bible you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (URLs help)

- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf
We will remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a valid notice and notify the user who posted it.
Counter-notice. If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice including:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
- Your contact information and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you reside (or, if outside the US, in Indiana)
Repeat infringers. We terminate accounts of users who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers.
Designated agent. Notices and counter-notices should be sent to: Big Farmer LLC, attn: DMCA, the1forty3@gmail.com.
